New Pharmacy Technician Applicants
Anyone desiring to work as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Mississippi is required to obtain a Mississippi Board of Pharmacy Pharmacy Technician Registration. To apply, candidates must meet the following criterion: at least 18 years of age, have a High School Diploma or equivalent, and submit the Pharmacy Technician Registration Application.
Upon completion of your Pharmacy Technician Application, you may submit it along with the following: copy of your High School diploma or equivalent, completed Background Check Packet, and a $90.00 Money Order/Cashiers Check made payable to the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy. We cannot accept CASH payments.

Pharmacy Technician Renewals
In order for Pharmacy Technicians to renew their registration, they must be nationally certified with one of the following organizations: Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Healthcare Association (NHA ExCPT). For renewal please submit the following: completed Pharmacy Technician Renewal Application, proof of national certification, and $55.00 Money Order/Cashiers Check. We cannot accept CASH payments.
The April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2020 Pharmacy Technician Renewal Period is now open. Online renewals are available for Pharmacy Technician Registrations. If you have not submitted proof of your CURRENT national certification to the Mississippi Board of Pharmacy office before March 31, 2019, you will need to submit a paper application. You must renew your registration no later than March 31, 2019 to avoid being assessed a late fee.
