Town Hall Meetings to Discuss Opioid Addiction Scheduled for 2018

he Mississippi Board of Pharmacy in partnership with the Department of Mental Health, The Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, and the Jackson Division of the FBI are hosting multiple Opioid Town Hall Rallies throughout Mississippi to bring awareness to communities across our state about opioid abuse and what you can do to help reduce the death and destruction caused by opioid addiction. In Mississippi alone, 1 in 10 people misuse prescription drugs and overall prescription drug abuse has surged 400% in the past decade.

The Mississippi Board of Pharmacy has approved allowing two (2) hours of continuing education credit to all pharmacists who attend any of the scheduled town hall meetings. Board staff will be present to validate CE credit.
