I was born and raised in New Orleans, La. I attended the University of Louisiana at Monroe and graduated with a B.S. in Biology in 1995 and Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2002. Upon graduation from pharmacy school, my wife and I moved to Rankin County to pursue our pharmacy careers and raise our expanding family. I've been employed by Brandon Discount Drugs since September 2002. On July 1, 2015, my pharmacy partner and I purchased Brandon Discount Drugs from Mr. Waymon Tigrett and I became the "PIC".
My wife is a "fourth generation" pharmacist currently working with her brother (also a pharmacist) at their family's drugstore in Pelahatchie. My sister and her husband are also practicing pharmacists in Louisiana - I would venture to say pharmacy is in our DNA.
Currently, I serve as the co-chair on the Mississippi Medicaid P&T Committee, and have served on said committee since my appointment in 2008. I also serve on the PMP Advisory Committee representing the MS. Independent Pharmacists Association. I am a member of both the MS. Independent Pharmacists Association and the MS. Pharmacy Association.
